Thưa Quý Vị,

Chúng tôi những người Việt Nam tị nạn cộng sản có mặt khắp toàn cầu được biết gần đây có tin ông Thích Quảng Độ sẽ được quý Ủy Ban đề nghị đưa tên vào danh sách tuyển chọn để nhận lãnh giải Nobel Hòa Bình.

Thưa Quý vị,

Nếu quả chuyện nầy có thật, chúng tôi mong rằng các ông nên xét lại quá trình hoạt động của ông Thích Quảng Độ trước, sau năm 1975, và hiện tại.

Theo chúng tôi được biết vấn đề tuyển chọn người nhận lãnh giải Nobel Hòa Bình phải là kẻ xứng đáng đúng với danh xưng giá trị của giải thưởng, chứ không thể như trước đây quý vị đã trao phần thưởng Nobel Hòa Bình cho Ông Lê Đức Thọ, một cán bộ cao cấp của cộng sản Việt Nam, và sau đó chẳng bao lâu cộng sản Việt Nam đã xé bỏ Hiệp Định Hòa Bình Paris 1973, xua quân cưỡng chiếm miền Nam Việt Nam vào ngày 30/4/1975. Đảng cộng sản Việt Nam đã gây ra tang tóc, đau thương không sao kể hết. Hơn nửa triệu người Việt Nam đã bỏ mạng ngoài biển cả, nơi rừng sâu, khi họ phải tìm đường tị nạn cộng sản. Chính vì vậy, hiện nay có trên 3 triệu người Việt Nam đang sống đời lưu vong ở mọi quốc gia trên quả địa cầu nầy.

Đây là một thảm cảnh, một đau thương của dân tộc Việt Nam chúng tôi, vậy mà ông Lê Đức Thọ một cán bộ cao cấp trong hàng lãnh đạo đảng cộng sản Việt Nam vẫn được nhận lãnh giải thưởng Nobel Hòa Bình cao quý đó.

Lần nầy, ông Thích Quảng Độ nếu được các ông tuyển chọn vào danh sách đề nghị nhận lãnh giải Nobel Hòa Bình thì quả thật “Ác Đã Thắng Thiện, Giả Dối Đã Thắng Sự Thật” bởi lẽ:

Từ 1963-30/4/1975 ông Thích Quảng Độ và nhóm PGVNTN của ông ta như: Thích Trí Quang (a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the founder of PGVNTN), Thích Đôn Hậu, Thích Thiện Siêu, Thích Nhất Hạnh, Thích Thiện Minh (died in 1978), Thích Minh Châu, Thích Hộ Giác, Thích Huyền Quang đã là những lãnh tụ của phong trào gây rối do cộng Sản Việt Nam dựng lên tại miền Nam Việt Nam với mục đích giả dối là tranh đấu đem lại hòa bình cho nhân dân miền Nam Việt Nam. Nhưng thực chất những cuộc tranh đấu của họ là nhằm phá nát hậu phương của 17 triệu dân miền nam Việt Nam, tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho bọn cộng sản Bắc Việt xâm lăng miền Nam Việt Nam. Ông Quảng Độ và những người của ông ta đã có các hành động như:

Biểu tình chống đối các chính phủ của miền Nam Việt Nam, kêu gọi đồng bào đình công bãi thị, tự thiêu, tuyệt thực, đưa bàn thờ Phật xuống đường, chiếm các công ốc, cơ sở của chính phủ, bắt ép học sinh, sinh viên bãi khóa, chận đốt các xe chuyển vận binh lính Hoa Kỳ và VNCH. Đốt tòa tổng Lãnh sự Hoa Kỳ, đốt Phòng thông tin Hoa kỳ, kêu gọi đuổi binh sĩ Hoa kỳ về nước, phản loạn chiếm cứ các tỉnh miền trung Việt Nam trong gần 100 ngày vào năm 1966.

Kết quả của những hành động tạo rối loạn ở hậu phương đó là gì:

Hơn 56 ngàn thanh niên trẻ tuổi của Hoa Kỳ đã hy sinh trong một chiến trường khốc liệt tại nam Việt Nam với gần 2 trăm ngàn bị thương.

Hơn 2 trăm ngàn người lính VNCH đã hy sinh với hằng trăm ngàn đã bị thương.

Để rồi vào cuối tháng 4/1975 tại thành phố Đà Nẵng, chính bọn họ với áo cà sa và cờ Phật giáo đã ngồi trên xe tăng T54 của cộng sản hân hoan đón tiếp CS vào thành phố Đà Nẵng, và tại Saigon đã có trên 500 tăng ni của bọn họ ra tận cửa ngõ của thành phố Saigon đón quân đội cộng sản vào tiếp nhận thành phố. (Xem các tài liệu chứng minh đính kèm thư này).

Sau 1975 và hiện tại, Thích Quảng Độ đóng vai là kẻ đối lập với chính quyền cộng sản Việt Nam. Ông ta cho mở một văn phòng điều hành lấy tên là Văn Phòng II Viện Hóa đạo Hải Ngoại.

Văn phòng này được đặt tại một địa điểm có hàng trăm ngàn người Việt tị nạn CS cư ngụ. Văn phòng này và cơ quan truyền thông của ông ta đã tung ra những bản tin phỉnh gạt:

“Đại Lão Hòa Thượng Thích Quảng Độ hiện đang lãnh đạo giáo hội Phật Giáo VNTN đấu tranh trực diện với chính quyền cộng sản Việt Nam trong nước. Ngài đang bị quản thúc tại Thanh Minh Thiền Viện."

Thế nhưng, thực tế và thực trạng chỉ là một sự dối gạt của ông ta và tổ chức của ông ta đối với người Việt Nam ở quốc nội và quốc ngoại. Sự dối gạt đó đã bị phát hiện qua những dữ kiện như sau:

Những hình ảnh được phổ biến qua báo chí trong nước và hải ngoại cho thấy ông ta rất tự đo đi lại, tự do hội họp nhiều nơi tại Việt Nam, như vậy chứng minh rõ ràng ông ta không hề bị quản thúc.

Trực diện đấu tranh với chính quyền cộng sản Việt Nam vậy mà 37 năm qua chưa hề có một hành động nào chống đối cộng sản VN xẩy ra như ông và tổ chúc PGVNTN đã thực hiện đối với các chính phủ VNCH đệ I và đệ II trước 1975.

Trong 37 năm vừa qua ngoài việc vẫn giữ giọng điệu: PGVNTN (trong đó có đương sự) đã làm hai cuộc cách mạng không tiền khoáng hậu là đạp đổ hai chính thể Đệ I và Đệ II /VNCH do “ngoại bang dựng nên” (Thích Quảng Độ, 1967 & 1974), và sỉ nhục những người lính VNCH là lính đánh thuê cho Mỹ, hành động độc nhất của Thích Quảng Độ chống đối chính quyền cộng sản hết sức mãnh liệt là kêu gọi đồng bào Phật tử “Biểu tình tại gia”.

Tóm lại với nhiều lý do nêu trên chúng tôi thỉnh cầu quý vị nên mở cuộc điều tra tìm hiểu trước khi có quyết định đưa tên Thích Quảng Độ vào danh sách ứng viên được trao giải Nobel Hòa Bình.

Dân Tộc Việt Nam chúng tôi sẽ rất vui mừng và hãnh diện có được một người Việt Nam được đề cử nhận lãnh giải Nobel Hòa Bình, nhưng hy vọng rằng người đó sẽ không phải là Ông Thích Quảng Độ, còn nếu người đó là ông Thích Quảng Độ thì những người Việt Nam chúng tôi sẽ hết sức hổ thẹn vì, Cái Ác Và Sự Dối Trá Đã Được Các Ông Vinh Danh.

The Excellency Ladies and Gentlemen,

We, the Vietnamese political refugees around the world, have been recently informed Mr. THICH QUANG DO will be selected by your Committee as one of final candidates for the Nobel World Peace Prize.

If this information is confirmed, we would earnestly request you rigorously examine the political track records of Mr. THICH QUANG DO before April 30th, 1975 (4/30/75), after 4/30/75 and in present.

To our knowledge and experience, the individuals(s) who is (are) awarded the Nobel World Peace Prize should and must be the one(s) who would meet your committee’s highes standards of evaluation. Those awardee(s) cannot not possess similar political track records of Mr. LE DUC THO, the top leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), who was awarded and shared the Nobel Prize with U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Then, only few years after THO was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the Vietnamese communist leaders, tore off the Paris Peace Accord of 1973 they had signed with the US, South Vietnam and the South Provisional government and launched large-scale military attacks and took over political power in South Vietnam on April 30, 1975. The CPV has inflicted countless deaths and tyranny in Vietnam. Over half million boat people have been drown in the sea while risking their lives to flee Vietnam on fragile small boats to sail out across Pacific Ocean or died horribly deep inside Indochinese thick jungle. To stay far away from tyrannical Vietnamese communist regime, currently more than 3 million Vietnamese have been living in exile, scattered around the globe.

This has been the greatest tragedy, the massive pain to our Vietnamese People. However, Mr. LE DUC THO, the top leader of the CPV (in Poli-Bureau), was selected by your committee and awarded the most highly respected Nobel Peace Prize.

This year, if Mr. THICH QUANG DO is nominated as one of final candidates to the Nobel Peace Prize that would be likely “TYRANNY HAS WON OVER HOLINESS, FRAUD HAS WON OVER TRUTH” because:

- During 1963 through April 30th, 1975 Mr. THICH QUANG DO and his violent An Quang-Monk group skillfully transformed their blood stained identity into “The Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam” (UBCVN) after faking themselves in the self-nominated Buddhist Church and QUANG DO has claimed himself as the legitimate representative for 13-plus other Buddhist Churches of Vietnam. QUANG DO has quickly changed his far leftist political tone and masked up himself as holy religious Buddhist Church’s top leader “who is more than able to call on support from 90-plus percent of Vietnamese People inside and outside Vietnam. He also has capacity to “pacify and take complete control of” political turmoil in Indochinese and in South East Asia or farther away from that region…” (sic). QUANG DO and his militant-monk group have disguised exceptionally well under their thick masks of innocent religious leaders who have been victims of the Vietnamese communists. The question of whether QUANG DO and his AN-QUANG-monk group have been factually suppressed and discriminated by the Vietnamese communist authorities or not cannot be verified.

- THICH QUANG DO and his violent AN-QUANG-monk group tirelessly launched countless protests against the legitimate, elected governments of the First and Second Republic of Vietnam. They called on labor strikes, closing markets, people immolations (or forced-immolation of Venerable THICH QUANG DUC), hunger-strikes, set up checkpoints of Buddha altars on public streets to protest, occupied government buildings, forced/ encouraged students to drop off class sessions, seized and burned army trucks which were transporting American and Vietnamese soldiers, burned down American Consulate General building, called on expel of American soldiers out of Vietnam and sending them back to the States, systematically launched militarily supported attacks and illegally seized provinces and cities of Central Vietnam during almost 100 days in 1966. The horrified net results of their well-planned militia-styled attacks against the government of the Republic of South Vietnam were:

- More than 58,000 young heroic American soldiers have been killed in battle fields in Vietnam. More than 200,000 Vietnamese soldiers have been sacrificed their lives. Hundreds other have been injured. Hundreds of thousands of American GIs had left their families and comfortable lives in the U.S. to help us fight Viet Cong in Vietnam were missing in actions.

At end of April 1975 in Da Nang province, Mr. THICH QUANG DO himself and his group of militant monks who wore yellow monk robes, hand-carried flags of Buddhist Church rode on the communist military tanks T54 to welcome Viet Cong troops who marched into Da Nang. In Saigon capitol, more than 500 monks and their Unified Buddhist Church’s associates came out to the border of Saigon to welcome the communist troops who were moving in to take complete control of Saigon (References attached).

For almost 4 decades after our most painful day of April 30, 1975 after the Vietnamese communists took over power and unified Vietnam, Mr. THICH QUANG DO has played an extremely mysterious and unproven role as his self-claimed Buddhist Church’s opposite leader against the ruling communist authorities. He authorized the establishment of DIEU NGU Buddhist Temple as the overseas office of the Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam, located at 14472 Chestnut Street, Westminster, CA 92683.

This office is located in the City of Westminster in Southern California where hundreds of thousands Vietnamese refugees have resided. This office and its media have broadcast countless of misleading news pieces such as:” The Most Honorable Venerable THICH QUANG DO has been leading the Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam to fight face-to-face with the communist government of Vietnam inside the Motherland Vietnam. He has been permanently put under his house arrest at Thanh Minh Zen Temple.

However, contrasting realities and verified facts, live witnesses and testimonies have strongly proven that all these tricks are only QUANG DO’s skillful political gimmicks to mislead Vietnamese People inside and outside Vietnam and the People of other nations around the world. These cheating pieces of information have been identified and confirmed via photos, videos, audios and live witnesses near his temple.

QUANG DO has been traveling freely and far to anywhere he wants, been authorized to hold big meetings in different places in Vietnam while the current criminal laws in Vietnam prohibits gathering of more than 5 people and while some other prominent religious and political leaders have been still strictly in solitary confinement or in unidentified jails. It means QUANG DO has never been put under his house arrest.

He has self-claimed he “Face-to-face struggles against the Vietnamese communist authorities for 37 years plus…” but for almost 4 decades he has never launched any single verbal or written protests against the communist government. While during the two decades of 1960s and 1970s under the disguised religious name “The Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam (aka. AN QUANG-Extended-Monk group”, he had well-organized and directed Buddhist faithful, to protest brutally against the First and the Second Republic government of South Vietnam until he and his group were able to overthrow those two political regimes which offered tremendous assistance to build foundation and refine the two very young democratic regimes in South Vietnam.

During the last 37 years, besides keeping up his extra leftist tone:” The Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam (that includes himself as one of its top leaders) has successfully accomplished “two outstanding, unique, one-of-a-kind revolutions” to topple down the First and the Second Republic governments of South Vietnam that were founded by the “foreigners” (Ref.: THICH QUANG DO, 1967, 1974) and badly swore over the Republic Vietnamese soldiers as mercenaries (hired fighters for Americans). The only and single most vigorous call of THICH QUANG DO to protest Viet Cong was his calling on the Buddhist faithful to “Protest VC by staying in their own homes…”.

In summary, we would kindly request that Norwegian Nobel Committee launches its non-bias thorough investigations that carefully scans through his political track records for at least for more than 4 decades and employs concrete, verified facts, solid interviews, live witnesses in different walks of life inside and outside Vietnam, etc…before reaching the final selection to award him the most respected Nobel Peace Prize. Your decision is soon becoming historic decision and surely will be permanently recorded in the World Peace History.

We, The People of Vietnam, will be extremely happy, grateful and in great pride to “possess” a Vietnamese who is nominated as the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. However, we dearly hope that Nobel Laureate would definitely not Mr. THICH QUANG DO. If he is nominated for this world highly respected Nobel Peace Prize then we, the Vietnamese inside and outside Vietnam, will be extremely shameful (for life) because “TYRANNIES AND FRAUDS HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED AND GLORIFIED” by Norwegian Nobel Committee without due process.
